Assists management in making decisions through the timely submission of reports.
Ensures compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements on filings of tax or company returns, together with various government requirements and regulations.
Identify ways to streamline accounting operations and ways to improve the department.
Approves ledger entries by auditing transactions and facilitate month-end / year-end close processes.
Maintains financial security by adhering to internal controls.
Supervises accounting staff and verifies the accuracy of data processing for accounting information.
Acts as the first point of contact for staff on day-to-day queries and liaise with Accounting Manager when appropriate
Performs any task or assignment that may be delegated by the Accounting Manager from time to time.
Requirements
· Graduate of Accountancy/ Finance
· With experience in joint ventures
· Advanced proficiency knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, spreadsheet applications, and accounting systems
· Thorough knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
· Experience with preparing financial statements, general ledger functions, and the month-end / year-end close process
· Strong analytical and financial reporting skills
· Strong management and leadership skills
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to work autonomously and to work and co-operate as part of a team
· With experience in Shared Services
· Preferably with relevant experience in a joint venture company.
